On November 10, 2025, the Union County Chamber of Commerce had the privilege of presenting the first-ever Spirit of Union County Award to Robert Eubanks of Amcor.
The Spirit of Union County Award is a benefit exclusive to Champion-level Chamber members and was created to recognize individuals and organizations who exemplify the values that make Union County strong, including commitment, partnership, community investment, and a dedication to helping others succeed. Amcor is one of 14 Champion investors, and the first to take advantage of this special opportunity.
Chamber Interim President Helen Thomas shared more about the award. “This award reflects the Chamber’s desire to partner directly with businesses to recognize those who make a lasting impact, whether within their organization or across the broader community.”
Amcor leadership selected Robert Eubanks, maintenance manager, as the inaugural recipient for his deep commitment not only to the company, but to Union County as a whole.
“With more than 20 years at Amcor, Robert has built strong relationships with dozens, if not hundreds of local vendors, prioritizing partnerships that support the local economy,” shared Marco Ontiveros, Plant Manager.
Robert, who is originally from Union County, is known for joking that he rarely leaves county lines. His time with Amcor has included working with over a hundred vendors, both inside and outside of the county. “Robert is dedicated to working hard and driving success right here at home,” Marco added.
Robert was surprised and humbled to receive the award, saying, “It’s a good place to work, very stable. It’s a good-hearted place to work that has provided good for my family and me over the years.”
Following the surprise presentation, the Chamber team joined Amcor employees for lunch, celebrating both Robert’s achievement and the company’s ongoing investment in Union County.
