However, when people ask about Business Licenses, there is an “it depends.” There are some industries that require an occupational certificate or licensing. Also, there are 14 municipalities in Union County who each have their own rules, so the business owner will want to check the regulations in the municipality their business is located. Finally, business owners will also want to check out the Zoning permits for the location of their business.

In general, the chamber encourages everyone to shop local, which often highlights small business owners.
