Our 2025 Annual Golf Classic was an engaging, fun success. 25 teams competed at Rolling Hills Country Club on Thursday, April 3.
The tournament started with a shotgun start at noon. It is Captain’s Choice format, ith several prizes awarded for achieving the longest putt, closest to the pin and more. Sponsors from chamber member organizations had employees on most of the holes, creating fun interactions and additional contests. Golfers can also participate in a Putting Contest, with the prize of a box of golf balls if they sink the putt.
Each year, Gene Robbins, owner of Robbins & Associates Insurance Agency, Inc. serves as Chair for the tournament. He welcomes golfers and is responsible for announcing all the winners.
The tournament contest winners receive a box of golf balls as well. As Gene announced, this year’s winners were:
- • Longest Putt: Brayden Wallace
- • Closest to the Pin on:
- • Hole 3: David Smith
- • Hole 5: Phil Presson
- • Hole 11 Mark Arcilesi
- • Hole 16: Alex Helms
- • Closest to the Center: Hank Hilliard
- • Longest Drive: Joel Barham
For the first time, we added some ‘fun’ prizes to spread the love beyond the top 3 teams.
- • The 7th place team received gift cards to Honey Baked Ham.
- • The 13th place team received lottery tickets.
- • The 25th place team received gift cards to Alice Jules.
It was a competitive tournament this year, with many close scores. In the end, the top 3 teams were:
- 1st Place: State Utility Contractors
- 2nd Place: Steve Melton Construction
- 3rd Place: Union Diversified Industries
We are grateful for all the golfers and especially for the sponsors who help make this a fun day for all. We also would not be able to pull off this tournament without the help of many volunteers, including our Chamber Ambassadors, and Leadership Union members and alumni.
Want the chance to compete next year? Keep an eye out for a notice in the weekly Chamber newsletter early next year, or reach out to Phillip Faust, Director of Business Development.
