The fast pace of the medical environment we find ourselves in has left many patients navigating a system that prioritizes quantity over quality. Jennie Murray, founder of Jennie Murray Physical Therapy, LLC, set out to change that by creating a practice that focuses on individualized, one-on-one care. Specializing in pelvic floor therapy, women’s health, and orthopedic physical therapy for men, women and children, Jennie’s approach goes beyond traditional treatment models to focus on the whole person.
“I discuss dietary considerations, inflammation, sleep, and stress management with my patients , “Jennie says. “All of these factors have to come together to achieve the best results. A patient may come in with pain in their shoulder, but that may be coming from the neck and could be exacerbated by increased stress, or it could be due to inflammation from poor diet.”
This approach is important to patients like Jessica. “Jennie is a highly knowledgeable physical therapist who aims to get to the bottom of your muscular issues, correct them, and eliminate your reliance on her. I have progressively been able to increase the time between my visits and am amazed at my results. If you want treatment that genuinely aims to get to the root of your pain and discomfort to eliminate it, Jennie is the person to see.”
Unrushed Appointments in a Calming Space
At Jennie Murray Physical Therapy, every patient receives one-on-one attention during each visit. Unlike many traditional clinics, there are no aides, no double-booking, and no unfamiliar providers taking over midway through treatment
With a background in psychology, Jennie understands the deep connection between the mind and body. She integrates breath work, imagery and meditations into her practice. Heavy emphasis is placed on hands-on manual therapy to mobilize stiff joints and release tight muscles. While exercises play an important role in rehabilitation, they are not the sole focus of each session. Jennie gives her patients a home exercise program so they can continue to improve in between sessions.
Healing takes time, and Jennie ensures that her patients never feel rushed. Initial evaluations last 90 minutes, allowing ample time to share medical histories, discuss goals, and receive treatment on the first visit.
The treatment environment is also designed to promote healing. Jennie’s private and serene space helps calm the nervous system. No gym environment that you share with other patients.
By moving away from the constraints of traditional insurance-based models, Jennie is able to spend more time with each patient, tailoring treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
“Many patients that I see have tried other therapies and have not achieved their desired results. Many rehab offices have this cookie-cutter approach where patients come in, ride the bike for 10 minutes, see the therapist for maybe 20 minutes, get passed to a rehab aide to do their exercises, then sit on ice or heat for 15 minutes. I do not have exercise equipment in my office. I have my table, tools like therabands, rollers, balls and hand weights I use to teach patients exercises, movements, and postural corrections they can do at home to maintain the work I’m doing. You can go home and apply ice or heat. The entire treatment time is skilled care, not time filler strategies.
Specialization in Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic floor therapy, one of Jennie’s areas of expertise, is often overlooked or misunderstood in mainstream healthcare. Many individuals, particularly women, suffer in silence from conditions such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and postpartum complications. Jennie’s mission is to provide compassionate, effective care that empowers her patients with the knowledge and tools they need to regain control of their health. Through education and personalized treatment, she helps patients understand that these issues are not simply something they must live with. Relief is possible. Just because your symptoms are common, does not mean they are normal.
As one patient named Ashley shares, physical therapy from Jennie is life-changing. “Jennie Murray changed my life! I started seeing Jennie due to severe pelvic/back pain caused by a pelvic floor spasm. The pain was debilitating. I was nervous going into my first session, as getting help for your pelvic floor is somewhat awkward. However, Jennie’s calm, confident, and compassionate approach made me feel reassured and comfortable.”
By focusing on high-quality, personalized care, Jennie Murray Physical Therapy is redefining what healthcare can and should be.. Check out jenniemurraypt.com for additional information. You can reach out to the practice at 704-243-8488.
